citizenM New York Bowery

Can't say enough nice things about the Citizen M on Bowery. While I wouldn't recommend these modest rooms for more than 2 people, for my solo self it was blissful. The location is outstanding. The bed was large and comfortable. The room was quiet, clean, modern, with an exceptional view of the city and close to everything I needed it to be close to. The subway is maybe a minute away and you have great food options like Katz's and Supermoon within 10 minutes, while killer East Village bars like Death and Co and Amor y Amargo are a simple 20 minute stroll. The app / in room iPad media and lighting experience was simple and it was super easy to cast my own media to the in room TV. There's even a rooftop bar with more great views up top. Check in and out could not have been easier, and there were no hidden fees whatsoever. I'll happily stay here next time I visit Manhattan.

The hotel is reasonable well located in downtown Manhattan. Two of the more useful subway stations (lines B,D & 6) can be reached within 5-7 minutes. The rooms are very small but designed in a clever way. The view from the bed is nothing less than marvelous (we booked "panorama view"). A/C works perfectly well and is quiet! The bar at the topmost floor offers a wonderful view as well and features a terrace, offering the option to take photos without shooting through a window. Breakfast buffet is nice (but in the bottom floor - so no view there) and costs USD 21 p. person. No booking/reservation in advance needed. So you just pay for it, when you have breakfast inhouse. We enjoyed this degree of flexibility. We needed some medical support during your stay in the US. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful to provide us useful addresses and direction. Thank you!

This is a well situated hotel in the Bowery district with many small restaurants and shops nearby. The room is perfect for one-two people and even the stardard room has a nice view. The room is completely controlled by an IPad that allows you to adjust the tempurature, open, close the blinds, use the television, control the lights and even letting you decide what color you want for the "mood' lighting. They have a nice sized work area/bar with beer and wine, pizza and nachos. I'm hooked on the Citizen M hotel chain. now.

Really fun hotel, great views from upper floor 14, and although our under 21s teens were not allowed in the roof bar at any time, us adults could take advantage, with spectacular views. Rooms are perfectly formed, small but with giant beds and really fun lighting, great shower. Staff courteous yet relaxed. Common living room/ breakfast area a lot of fun too. Lower East Side still feels a bit grimy, but fantastic street art/ graffiti and community parks, walking just 2 blocks to the historical Tenement Museum, or towards Greenwich Village and trendy shops the other way

Fabulous location close to china town and soho. Room was very comfortable and has everything we needed with good storage space.
